B & B
and Self-Catering Apartment in White Village
House
Our
property is a simple traditional White Village House, situated on the edge
of the picturesque village of El Gastor, known as the "Balcon de los Pueblos
Blancos". It is a typical whitewashed mountain village where the visitor
can experience a taste of real Spain. It has an ancient pine forest above
it, friendly people, and flower lined streets.
There
are several tapas bars, shops, a lovely village square, park and open air
swimming pool. There are stunning views over the sierras, the Grazalema
Natural Park and the Embalse de la Zahara-El Gastor (Lake).
Casa
Andaluz is a family run business, we live on site, and we offer B&B
in a light airy traditionally decorated twin room with private shower room.
As a family we have many years' experience in the hospitality business,
the last 12 years spent in the beautiful English Lake District, where we
ran a very successful vegetarian restaurant. We enjoy walking and outdoor
activities and are happy to recommend activities, excursions etc in and
around El Gastor. Car hire is recommended, but airport transfers
can be arranged.
We
can also provide an evening meal, picnic lunch and can cater for special
diets such as vegetarian and gluten free.
Also
available is a spacious self-contained apartment which sleeps up to 6 people.
It has a large open plan kitchen/living area with a big dining table, wood
burning stove, comfortable furniture colourful cushions and a sofa bed.
The
kitchen is fully equipped with all the usual luxuries including dishwasher,
washing machine, contemporary crockery and utensils. There are 2 double
bedrooms and a large fully tiled shower room.
Double
doors lead from the dining area to a private, shady patio with plants and
seating area. There are good quality towels and bed linen in all the rooms,

Apartment is accessed via a stairway leading from the street and is not

"We love El Gastor, it's
pretty, clean, and obviously well loved. The people are very friendly."
"Visit the Sierra de Grazalema,
we saw a spiral of 10 Griffin vultures. Ronda is well worth a visit, lots
of monuments, and that bridge!"
"Nikki & Joe are great
hosts. See blood red cork oaks near Grazalema, go to the Cueva de la Pileta,
and be led deep into the earth by parafin lamp to see mysterious cave paintings,
and after all that sit and watch the sun dip from the mirador in El Gastor."
"Fantastic accommodation,
friendly locals, and breathtaking scenery"
"We thoroughly enjoyed our
time with you - thank you all for making us so welcome and so much part
of the family. Our walk on the via verde was very enjoyable with fantastic
views, the wild flowers and butterflies were just magnificent.
To be recommended."
"We all thought that the
accommodation a real pleasure, with the meals being a highlite and that
a return visit would be a must."
