In
the heart of the historical and artistic old town of Arcos, part of the
cloister convent of nuns was transformed into the Hotel El Convento. In
this peaceful place, amongst churches, palaces and other interesting buildings,
our guest enjoy the serenity of the town´s ancient beauty, a monument
to light.
From
its rooms and roof terrace, our visitors can comtemplate the magnificient
views of the Peña and the Guadalete river valley.

Localization
From
Arcos there is a 20 minutes drive to Jerez, a 60 minutes drive to Cádiz
and a 75 minutes drive to Sevilla. There are international flights from
Jerez and Sevilla airports. Málaga airport is 2 hours away from
Arcos.
Parking
Hotel
El Convento is located in the Heart of the Old Quarter, on a pedestrian
street called Maldonado, considered one of the most beautiful streets of
the town.

|
|
|
Like
in most of the old towns in Andalucia, streets are narrow and parking is
limited.
Once
you are in Arcos, follow the signs “Centro Ciudad” (city centre) or “Conjunto
Monumental” (old town). Drive up the hill to Plaza del Cabildo; it is a
toll parking area (P2) and a 24 hour ticket is offered to our guests at
a cheaper price. Once your car is parked, take Escribanos St. towards Plazuela
de Boticas (Bus) by foot and there turn the first into the right, the hotel
is at the end of the street, opposite Olivares Veas Theatre. |
| If
you prefer not to drive up to the Old Town, try to park in the lower part
of the town, at the underground parking in Paseo de Andalucía (P1)
or
at our sister Hotel Los Olivos parking lot (at a reasonable fee).
If you decided to park at Hotel Los Olivos, please go into the hotel and
tell the receptionist that you are a guest of Hotel El Convento.
From
there you must walk up the hill (a ten minute walk) or come by taxi (at
Hotel Los Olivos they could call one for you). There is also a small bus
(“Bus Centro”) that stops at Plaza España (between the underground
parking and Hotel Los Olivos) and stops by Hotel El Convento. The small
bus is running every day less Sundays. |

El Convento guests will find here a pleasure for senses. Tradition, good
eating and natural surroundings to be discovered, and always a peaceful
ambiance.
After
renovation and expansion, the hotel has 11 very well furnished rooms equipped

|
| Some
of the rooms are called with a different name paying homage to writers,
poets or cultural people and also to the Restaurant El Convento Chef.
Most
of the rooms have a beautiful view of the Guadalete River Valley and all
of them are very quiet. On the top of the building there is a terrace for
guests to admire the landscape and to sunbathe.
