Dating
from the 17th century, the house still has its original subterranean rooms
with vaulted ceilings in the cellar of the hotel. The two main floors were
renovated in 1934, giving the house a distinctly Sevillian flavour.
The
central courtyard, decorated with tiles from the famous Mensaque Tile Factory
in Seville and the wrought iron columns and the marble floor which were
added at that time have all been left intact.

impressive are the large handcarved antique french windows and the majestic
and elegant balustrade of the main staircase leading to a domed gallery
on the second floor.
There
exists a subtle exchange between Andalusian and Latin America. Knowing
about the past enables us to better appreciate the present. We can see
the influence that our architecture had on the New World. Andalusia, warm
and generous offered its best to Latin America.

The
architecture and style of our buildings with their enclosed patios was
the inspiration for Mexican colonial houses and many others Latin American
countries. In exchange Andalusia gained in colour, material and lifestyle.
The
courtyard with its greenery and its tiled gallery is a perfect place to
relax inviting guests to enjoy and reflect upon the art and culture. A
place to sit and appreciate life.

is full of light and colours. These beautifully decorated rooms with
their antique doors and windows, natural fabrics and cast iron furniture
all have spacious bathrooms decorated in warm colours.
