The Balearic Islands - Separate to the Spanish mainland, the four main Balearic Islands - Ibiza, Formentera, Mallorca and Menorca - have a distinct character of their own.  Ibiza - one of Europe's trendiest resorts, Formentera - a smaller island which acts more as an annexe to Ibiza, Mallorca - the largest and best known Balearic Island and Menorca -  a more subdued and highly scenic island.
