The setting is very unique: the huge original olive press of Son Net has been refurbished and, after several centuries, it is at last able to produce olive oil again, although it is not being used for production.

In the summer, the poolside Gazebo restaurant offers freshly grilled dishes prepared in an old stone oven served in an informal setting. 

We prepare the best fresh products of the island: grilled meat, fish and seafood, pasta, a fabulous salad buffet all served in an enchanting spot with spectacular views of the valley of Puigpunyent.

The Bar Son Net lounges have a large range of art and antique furniture, a cosy fireplace, views of the patio and the valley of Puigpunyent. Don’t forget to ask for a superb cocktail masterly prepared by our barman, while you enjoy the soothing music selected for the occasion. In the summer, the bar also includes open-air terraces. 

Tea time is served every afternoon in our fireplace lounge during the fall, winter and spring season. A wide selection of teas, scones, muffins, plum cakes, fruit cakes and finger sandwiches make it a complete feast. 

Under the shade of a five hundred year old cyprus tree the pool bar El Mirador invites you to enjoy tropical milkshakes and ice creams.

Golf & Tennis 
A clay tennis court invites you to play a match and tennis classes can be arranged. 

For golf lovers there are five of the best Mallorcan golf courses within a 15-minute drive from the hotel. Son Vida, Santa Ponsa, Royal Golf of Bendinat, Son Antem and Poniente are among some of the most beautiful courses on the island.

FROM PALMA AIRPORT TO GRAN HOTEL SON NET 
Take PM19 direction to Palma. After approximately 5 km take the PM20 "Via de Cintura" (direction Andratx). Exit PM20 at the sign Puigpunyent and keep to the right until you reach the roundabout with a petrol station "Cepsa". Cross the roundabout following the sign marked Puigpunyent. Stay on this road for 11 Km. You will come to a Stop sign at a junction once you have reached Puigpunyent, continue straight ahead and you will arrive at Gran Hotel Son Net.

For many tourists sun and beach holidays are at the top of their list of preferences. However, travellers haven't always been this keen on sunbathing and swimming. The first tourists who visited the island swam very little indeed. George Sand and her companion, composer Frederic Chopin, spent the winter of 1838-1839 on the island to help him recover his fragile health. And the Archduke Luis Salvador, who first came some ten years later, at the age of 22, remained faithful to the island, winter and summer, until the day he died in 1915. According to the writings of these distinguished visitors they never got bored during their stays on the island of Mallorca.
