- EL HIERRO (SMALL ISLAND OFF TENERIFE) FEATURED HOTELS
It is the smallest of the Canarian islands and it's situated at the extreme southeast of the archipelago. Its 278 square kilometres offer an amazing variety of scenery, from the arid lava fields and volcanic formations in the south and east to the fertile soil of the valley of El Golfo in the northeast with its vineyards and plantations, by way of the dense pine forests and rainforest of the island's central area. The coastline of El Hierro is rocky and steep with inaccessible cliffs of up to 1,000 metres high, sheltered coves and enticing natural swimming pools. On the Nisdafe plateau you'll find fields and meadows whereas in El Pinar there's an abundance of fig and almond trees. Here you can enjoy the legendary “eternal spring” of the Canary Islands with their sub-tropical vegetation in the fertile zones and the contrasting volcanic landscape in other parts of the island. Parador de El Hierro, El Hierro
The Parador is located next to the sea, opposite the Roque de Bonanza, in a heavenly setting where the sea and the volcanic mountains meet. This modern building, dotted with beautiful balconies, is ideal for rest and tranquillity. Its elegant, colonial interior preceded by a fascinating garden with swimming pool, is cheerful and friendly.  In this ideal setting, the guest is comforted by the cheerful, suggestive dishes of the Parador´s restaurant. The 'caldo de queso herreño' (poultry and cheese soup), 'alfonsiños con burgados' (fish with bigaros (periwinkles)), 'quenafas de viejas' (fish rissoles) with limpet and sea urchin sauce and the fig biscuit stand out.

The Parador lies 70 metres above sea level on the Lomo de la Horca on the right hand side of the avenue that links the quay of San Sebastian with the town. Very elegant bedrooms, wooden floors, a little living-room and views overlooking the gardens or the sea. The swimming-pool with the terrace is the perfect complement to this beautiful place.  The room where the restaurant is set is bright and spacious. Parador de Cañadas del Teide, Cañadas del Teide, La Orotava
The Parador, located in the natural Cañadas del Teide crater, more than 2,000 metres above sea level, invites the guest to contemplate impressive panoramic views of the Teide cone, the Chaorra crater and the White Mountain. Since it is the only building within the El Teide National Park, its interior recreates the ambience of a mountain lodge both in the common rooms and bedrooms, and has terraces with impressive panoramic views of the Teide. It is a real pleasure to sample the exquisite and original Canary Islands cooking in the Parador restaurant.  The Canary Islands stew, rabbit in 'salmorejo' (a gazpacho-like sauce) 'papas arrugadas y mojos' (potatoes in their skins served with typical dipping sauces) and the 'viejas sancochadas' stand out.

The Spa Villalba is a spa hotel located one kilometre from central Vilaflor, Tenerife. San Miguel de Abona (first part, Spanish for Saint Michael) is the name of a municipality, town, and valley in the southeastern part of the island of Tenerife, one of the Canary Islands, and part of the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. San Miguel de Abona is a suburb or a cluster of Tenerife Sur. The municipality is located in the southern end of the island. Arico is on a valley setting. Its estimated population is 9 988. San Miguel de Abona is linked with the TF1 Motorway and has an interchange south of San Miguel de Abona and north of its beaches and is also linked with the old highway linking Arona and Santa Cruz de Tenerife.  Its economy are businesses, tourism and some agriculture. The urban area and some farmlands dominates the coastline and valley areas, while the mountains dominates much of the municipality and to the north. The Hotel Rural San Miguel is a delightful place where you will be able to enjoy wonderful moments and the traditions of yesteryear.  You have at your disposal a real Canarian cottage with 16 customised rooms, which are equipped with genuine period furniture and a wealth of detail.  The access to the hotel from the airport is very easy and fast (15 minutes by car).  The hotel has a total surface of 1500m2 and is composed of two different houses - a cottage and a landlord house.  The house has been carefully restored by the owners over 8 years and was originally built in the 17th century.  The furniture is original, which is why each room has its own style and charm.  The most modern technologies and commodities have been included into our hotel but always respecting the original style of the old houses.
