The coastline of El Hierro is rocky and steep with inaccessible cliffs of up to 1,000 metres high, sheltered coves and enticing natural swimming pools. On the Nisdafe plateau you'll find fields and meadows whereas in El Pinar there's an abundance of fig and almond trees. Here you can enjoy the legendary “eternal spring” of the Canary Islands with their sub-tropical vegetation in the fertile zones and the contrasting volcanic landscape in other parts of the island.
