Barcelona Car Hire Services

There is so much to see and do in the beautiful city of Barcelona, Spain. Although there does exist an established train system that can provide views of Barcelona, this is not ideal. For the very reason that this puts travelers at the mercy of following someone else’s schedule. Barcelona is a city that should be devoured piece by piece at the rate a traveler wishes to and not at a pre determined pace.

With that in mind, the best way to take advantage of all Barcelona has to offer is by Car hire in Barcelona services. Car hire services allow a traveler to take off and explore the ancient town of Girona that resides just north of Barcelona. Wine lovers might delight in a day trip to Penedes. Art lovers would enjoy stopping at the Dali museum. Each of these locations is within optimal driving distance to Barcelona.

Spectacular views are afforded by visits to beach front resort of Barcelonetta. Similar breathtaking beaches line the coastline of Barcelona. Some of these destination points may not be made available through a guided tour or train service stop.

One of the greatest destination points in Barcelona includes the Picasso Museum. In addition to some of Picasso’s world class paintings, there are equally stunning designs from the likes of Antonio Gaudi housed at the Sagrada Familia. From these spots, an ancient Roman ruin lies in the Mediterranean beach town of Badalona.

Take a turn inland for some equally impressive sights. Majestic mountain ranges feature roadways that lead up towards the mountain tops. This is something that would surely be missed on a guided tour. On the way out of the mountains, stop along a wine vineyard and share a memorable picnic lunch with loved ones. Having a car hire service affords travelers the ability to keep their own desired time schedule, however laid back that time schedule may be.

There is an established transportation system in Barcelona that includes trains, buses and cable cars. However, car hire service proves to be the most economical not the mention the easiest route to go. Especially when taken into consideration that the average taxi service will cost a traveler €15 to €20 for a trip from the airport to the center of Barcelona.

Before utilizing Spanish car hire services, there are a few pieces of information to keep in mind. Car hire services will only release cars to drivers that are at a minimum age of 21. Even then, the drive must be able to show proof of holding that drivers license for a minimum of the previous 12 months. To do this, it is advisable to obtain an international drivers license from the home licensing agency whenever possible. This will serve to eliminate any doubts on behalf of the car hire service. In addition to a driver’s license, a major credit card is required. The credit card must be valid and able to take new charges.

Barcelona is a beautiful area that offers a little taste of Spanish flair in the process. There is simply no other way to explore this great city than with a car hire service.
