de Mar - The popular tourist resort town of Roquetas
de Mar was once a sleepy, picturesque fishing village, dating from Roman
times, and it still retains its warren of Moorish alley-like streets and
pretty aspect of white-washed houses ascending the hillside and lovely
sandy beaches. Tabernas, 36 kilometres away, is home to three film
sets, Mini Hollywood, Decorados and Rancho Leone, which featured in classic
movies such as Fistful of Dollars and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Mini
Hollywood is now entirely given over to a spaghetti-western theme park
featuring authentic-looking wooden houses, a saloon, bank, church and school
house. Shoot-outs and stunt shows are staged here, and a Zoo and an African

| Roquetas de Mar is a municipality
of Almería province, in the autonomous community of Andalucía,
Spain. It is what is known as an "urbanization", which is a tourist
area with hotels, restaurants and shops and is predominantly a Spanish
holiday resort for the summer months.
The town is one of the two
major resorts in Costa de Almería, the other being Mojácar.
With its vast beaches and the fact that Roquetas does not attract the sheer
number of tourists as some of the other resorts, there is plenty of room
to lounge around and sunbathe, or to take a leisurely swim, without the
problems of overcrowding seen on many Spanish beach resorts.
Roquetas de Mar has many
facilities including hotels, restaurants, tapas bars, a bull ring, an auditorium
and a language school. |

indoor and outdoor pools, complete with a swim-up bar and a separate splash
pool for children. Other health and relaxation facilities include a gym,
solarium and spa tub. Hot and cold drinks are served in the coffee shop,
which overlooks the pool area and hosts live entertainment in the evenings. |

Hotel Bella Vista lies 300 metres from the beach in the centre of the popular
Spanish resort of Roquetas De Mar, 19 kilometres from the city of Almeria.
Opened in 2004, this hotel is laid out over seven floors and has contemporary
architecture with a glass façade. There is an outdoor swimming pool
with a swim-up bar and a children's pool plus an indoor heated pool. There
are two tennis courts and a volleyball court in the grounds and there is
a kids' club. evening entertainment, including live music, is provided

Golf Trinidad is a modern resort complex overlooking Almeria's sandy beach,
200 metres from the town centre and 800 metres from the local golf course.

swimming pools and sunbathe on the palm- dotted poolside terrace.
Children can join the holiday mini club and be entertained by hotel staff
or entertain themselves in the games room. Buffet meals are served
